Nancy Otte
My name is Nancy Otte! I am the Financial Recording Secretary for Calvary Baptist Church. I have other faithful volunteers that make my job easier, such as our treasurer and the nine tellers who work on a rotational basis to count the offerings. My responsibility is to oversee all areas that deal with money. I write checks, post contributions, make deposits from other designated income and sit on the Budget/Stewardship Committee as an ex officio member. God has blessed our church in so many ways, one of which is being debt free. I have worked in this capacity since May of 1988 and enjoy seeing those who are learning to live out of God’s economy rather than the world’s economy.
Our children and grand children are the bright spot in our lives. I teach Precept Bible Studies and support my husband as he teaches Sunday School. Music, Lighthouses, traveling and reading are the true loves of my leisure time. With a busy life, my life verse is John 14:27 – Jesus says: “Peace I leave with you, my peace i give unto you, not as the world gives it, give I unto you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid!”
